Arundel Contemporary is pleased to present Long is the Road, first solo exhibition of works by Marcelle Hanselaar, Dutch-born London based artist. The exhibition features a selection of the latest paintings from the North Sea series, as well as drawings and linocuts created during the 2020-2021 lockdowns.

”Last year’s enforced isolation made me work like possessed. Because apart from my daily walks, my only reality existed through painting. In these paintings I returned to the North Sea of my childhood, the salty wind, the severe flat expanse of escape”, says the artist.
