We are pleased to announce Nicola Rose’s new solo exhibition and cordially invite you to join us for the private view on Friday 5th October from 6 – 8pm, for an opportunity to meet the artist.
Born in 1968, Nicola Rose is a Sussex-based artist who has travelled widely in the UK, exploring the British coastline, further afield in Scandinavia, Iceland, New Zealand, India, Israel and South Africa, for inspiration.
Nicola studied her Foundation Course at the Suffolk College of Art, and holds a B.A. in Illustration/Graphic Design from Maidstone College of Art & Design, and an M.A. in Fine Art Printmaking from Brighton Polytechnic.
“These dramatic paintings reflect the diverse personality of the often wild and uncompromising seas surrounding the British coastline. These are places of the extremes of physical drama, unceasing motion and striking contrasts of light and shadow, places which, for me, resonate a profound and tangible spirituality.
“This new body of work is dedicated to my late husband Clive Vosper.”
