Arundel Contemporary

The current exhibition showcases the work of the gallery’s resident artists as well as new artists, each with their own, individual approach to the subject of landscape painting.

In these works, the multifaceted nature of scenery goes beyond merely what lies in front of the artists’ eyes. Instead, the landscape becomes the object of perception.

Executed in a variety of stylistic influences, the exhibition redefines the idea of a landscape painting, so it is no longer something restricted to a defined piece of land.

The exhibition features works in oils, acrylics and mixed media. Many forms of printmaking will also be on display.

Incorporated in the show are the new, stunning landscape themed painted vessels from our resident ceramic artist Jitka Palmer.
