What’s this? It’s a little bit of whimsy in an otherwise beige, colourless life. This isn’t a place. It’s an imagined world, filled with bright color, compressed in two dimensions, devoid of perspective. This isn’t an artistic statement. It’s a warm feeling, a sweet emotion, a blissful state of mind, or limerence. The artist isn’t examining anything, he isn’t exploring anything. The artist has just turned a page, to a happier story, written in bold form and bright colours, while thinking fondly of places that only exist between midnight and dawn. It took a while, to gather courage and let go of certainties. And move on.
