Zura (Evgeni Tskhadaia).
Born in Georgia in 1968.
Zura spent much of his free time a child at the Poti Drama Theatre in Georgia where his father was a Chief Production Designer, and where he started to paint to paint from an early age.
1986 – 1987. Studied Architecture at the Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts
1988 – 1995 Paintings and Theatre Design. Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts
During his time at the Academy, Zura took part in numerous exhibitions, and also worked as an assistant production designer at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre, as well as at theatres in Poti and Batumi, Georgia.
From 1993-1994 he studied iconography and wall painting at the renowned restoration studios in St Petersburg, Russia.
From 1995-1996 he worked with his father on the wall painting commissioned by the church of St. Nicholas in Poti, Georgia and, later, at the church of Our Lady in St. Petersburg, Russia.
From 1996 Zura lived and worked in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was represented by several European art galleries until his untimely death in the summer of 2016.
