VIEW WORKS
Overview
Annie waring is a still life painter working from her studio in Burwash, East Sussex.
Her work centres on observations of flowers and wild flora and carefully composed compositions of ceramics.
Annie’s oil paintings are contemplative and intimate, capturing fleeting arrangements that suggest both fragility and permanence. Her work is less about documentation and more about evoking a sense of calm.
Rooted in traditional still life painting yet quietly contemporary. Annie’s work invites the viewer to slow down and notice the understated beauty of everyday objects.
Annie studied Textile design at Middlesex Polytechnic in the 1980s, she then worked as a designer and produced her own ranges for Liberty in London, Henri Bendel in New York, Tokyo and Europe.
