“I love ancient cultural objects for their simplicity of materials and their imagery. I also admire the free spirit of the Charleston group of artists.
With the essence of these artefacts in mind, my ceramic forms, are mostly concerned with the figure and the head. I paint and pour slips and glazes, playing with figurative and decorative designs. I invariably like to experiment, to try something unpredictable so its always exciting opening the
kiln.”

“My parents were both artists, with their influences from an art filled household, I studied a degree in 3D at Brighton Poly, an MA ceramics, Cardiff institute.”

“I taught at Suffolk College, Ipswich 1989 -2011, became a self employed maker in 2011 – present, exhibiting and selling my work through galleries around the UK.”
